She knew it was time but still found it hard to pick up the phone. The pain buried deep in her heart had surfaced. The decision to heal had laid before her many times. She knew forgiveness was necessary to walk in freedom; she had a choice to make.
A man beaten throughout his life by the same person he called father, found himself sitting next to the hospital bed watching as the withered man struggle to breathe. Wrestling with the past would only keep him bound; he wished for life to be different, he hated the dark feeling in his heart.
A brokenhearted girl’s loss ran deep; she caught a glimpse of her baby as they took him from her. She was too young and could not adequately care for him, the agreement to let him go crushed her soul. Staring at the face of her newly born grandson she could feel the sharp pain deep in her heart for the choice she made over thirty years ago.
The choices we make, produce consequences that can last for generations.
We are bombarded by decisions daily, some greater than others. But all come with a price.
The importance of forgiveness is necessary for our freedom.
Making a decision has the power to set us free or keep us shackled to the past.

Romans 10:9-10 ” If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (NLT)
Every choice counts, so make sure the decision you make today line up with God’s word for it determines your destination.
