He Is Worthy

I stood at the ocean breathing in deep the salty air.

My feet slowly sinking into the wet sand.

I couldn’t help but lift my hands in worship.

The bible say’s that we are to worship Him in spirit and in truth John 4:23-24

Some people think that worship is done only in a church setting and with singing.

But worship is so much more.

In my life I feel closest to God when I am in the mountains or by the sea. It’s in that moment when my heart bows in awe of who God is.

But I have learned to worship Him no matter where I am.

Worship is a time when we make a statement that God is worthy of honor.

But have you ever been to church and due to your attitude or circumstances you didn’t feel like singing or lifting your hands for that matter?

I have struggle with this many times.

I have learned that even in my heartache or in difficult circumstances, God is still worthy of my worship.

If we are to worship him in spirit and in truth but the truth is our heart is broken and hurting, then what?

We can still worship him in the truth or our brokenness.

Because based on who God is, he is able above what we can imagine to heal our hurts and restore us and that is worth praising him for.

Don’t limit yourself to worship only in church.

Look around you at who God really is.

Being to set yourself free to worship him wherever you are and in whatever you are doing.

Allow your words to declare he is worthy.

Let your actions begin to bring forth praise and allow the attitude of your heart to be one of surrender.

Worship him for who He is and for all that He has done in your life and give him praise.

Declare that he is worthy no matter where you are or what you are doing.

When you understand the true meaning of worship, then it doesn’t matter how you feel.

Praying for you today,

  2. Lovely, my friend. Your words exude the fact that you love much. Those same words encourage us to release and go there too. Amen. Love me some Jesus…always. Enjoy the sand and surf as you worship.

    • Thank you Kristi, I can’t wait for heaven where it will be even more beautiful and we will worship him. Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty.
      Hand in hand to heaven.

  3. The cry of my heart: “Let your actions begin to bring forth praise and allow the attitude of your heart to be one of surrender.”

Like you, Jamie, I think of our worship now as just a shadow of what our worship in Heaven will be like … Looking forward to that day!
