He Gave His Life

Dear God,

It’s taken me a long time to realize I am yours and I belong to you.

It was hard to hear how much you loved me through all the noise going on in my head.

The clutter of my past, the lies that disguised them selves  as truth poked at me to believe I was not enough.

But you saw deep inside of me, you heard my cries. You reached down and touched me.

You broke my shame, you gave me life. You took my sorrows you paid the price for me.

God how you have set me free.

There were mountains too high to climb.  There were days I never thought I’d reach the other side.

But there you were again calling me to trust all of you.
You had plans for my life beyond what I knew.

In the midst of my valleys where darkness loomed, your light was the warmth where I felt your touch of truth.

I may not always understand, at times I can feel alone. But I’ve learned to trust your heart when there seems no hand to hold.

This day may seem ordinary to most, the sunrise casting pink shadows on the mountain peaks.

My hope is in you.

So when the waters rage and the mountains are too big to climb I’m going to choose to trust you to take me to the other side.

When life is changing all around me.  When skies are gray instead of blue.
When the answers come that I do not want I’m going to choose to trust in you.

2 Samuel 7:28
“For you are God, O Sovereign Lord. Your words are truth, and you have promised these good things to your servant.”

Psalm 9:28
“Those who know your name trust in you. For you O Lord do not abandon those who search for you.”

Psalm 13:5
“But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me.”

Trusting in His goodness for you today.

Praying for you,
